Leeds based technology start-up Instantcart.com is offering UK businesses the chance to start up their own online store completely free if they plan to sell 25 products or less.  This new initiative has been designed to help UK businesses get their foot on the ecommerce ladder without any upfront cost.

Paul Roberts, Instantcart’s founder said "We want to make the journey into ecommerce as simple as possible and often the biggest barrier to entry is cost.  By offering a completely free, no contract version of our paid plan, customers can start an online store without being tied to a costly plan and explore the process of setting up an online shop at their own pace"

With 1 in 5 highstreet shops predicted to close by 2018, small independent retailers have never had a better opportunity to get online and change the way they do business, especially with "Click & Collect" becoming so popular.

Potential clients will have access to Instantcart support and free online resources to help get them started in ecommerce and can start their free online store at any time via Instantcart’s website.  Some customers have already asked where’s the catch, however Paul commented saying "There’s absolutely no catch and no commitment, the only drawback is if you want to sell more than 25 products, or outgrow your free store, you simply need to upgrade to our paid plan which starts at £24.99 a month"

Instantcart was founded in 2010, and powers ecommerce services and websites for a number of leading Yorkshire based businesses including Q-Park, Abode Home Products & Avanta UK Ltd
